Travel planing takes more time for muslims

One of the things I found that as a travelling muslima, travel planing takes a little bit more time. After finding a destination many questions pop up. Are there mosques in the area where I can pray? Are there local shops or markets where I can find halal food to cook for myself? Or are there restaurants in the neighbourhood where I can go eat? One thing I learned is that Google is my best friend. On Google maps go the area where you will stay and search for what you are looking for. Luckily there are also plenty of other travel apps and websites out there catered specifically towards Muslims travelers. Here are my own tips & tricks for travelling muslims:

Muslim Pro

Muslim Pro has quickly become one of the most popular apps in the Muslim community and for good reason – it’s packed with features to help you stay connected and informed no matter where your travels take you. The app allows users to access accurate prayer times, view their qibla direction (the direction of Mecca), read Quranic verses in multiple languages, listen to Islamic audio lectures, explore halal restaurants and shops nearby, get updates on local events or news related to Islam, keep track of their daily prayers and Ramadan fasting times, and much more! It’s a comprehensive toolkit for staying connected with your faith while you travel.

Zabiha

Muslim travellers now have a convenient way to find Halal restaurants thanks to the Zabiha app. With this app, you can search through thousands of Muslim-friendly restaurants around the globe. Great thing about this app is that the restaurants are  generated by its own users and there is overwhelming variety of Halal restaurants for every occasion, from quick meals on-the-go to fine dining experiences. What’s more, this app makes suggestions for the nearest mosques too. There is even a possibility to sharing whether there’s a separate room for the ladies to pray, making it an extremely informative app.

Google Translate

How are you going to as a local where the nearest mosque is if you don’t speak the language? The answer is: Google Translate! Google Translate is the perfect app to have while travelling, as it allows you to communicate in other languages without needing to learn them prior. Not only will the app provide you with accurate translations from text and speech, but it can also now do so offline so that you never have to worry about being connected online. You can use Google Translate for conversations with locals in their own language, allowing for more meaningful experiences and greater understanding of different cultures. Furthermore, Google Translate offers real-time image translations which means you can scan and translate road signs or menus in unfamiliar languages quickly and accurately. With the help of this helpful app, communication while travelling is much simpler and far easier than ever before!

Google Maps

Google Maps is an invaluable tool for any traveller. Not only can it help you find your destination easily, but it also provides tons of helpful information such as reviews, ratings, and nearby attractions. It is especially helpful for Muslim travellers, as it can be used to enrich their experience while travelling abroad by helping them locate halal restaurants or mosque nearby. With its turn-by-turn navigation, Google Maps allows users to have a worry-free journey with no wrong turns or detours.
